SESSION FOR STUDENTS BY DHIRAJLAL GANDHI COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY

As an initiative to create an interest in understanding and appreciating science as a subject and in everyday life Institute of Social Responsibility ISR cell of Dhirajlal Gandhi College of Technology, Salem helped create Innovators of Tomorrow by conducting an excellent session with science experiments. To give shape to this idea “Enjoy Learning through Working Models of STEM” Dr.K. Giridharan, Former Director, DRDO was roped in and Sir took the audience to an entirely new level never experienced before. Mrs. Archana Manoj, Director of Dhirajlal Gandhi College of Technology, Salem accompanied Dr Giridhar to the event. Learning laws through experiment kept the inquisitive minds busy as they answered questions and identified various laws.

Some experiments:
1. Invisibility based on refractive index.
2. Len’s Law , Boyle’s Law.
3. Semi- conductor technology and the idea behind its success.
4. Concept of Electromagnetic Interference.
5. Smart Roads.
Students from Std VIII to XII attended the programme.
