WORLD ELDER ABUSE AWARENESS DAY (WEAAD)

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) is observed worldwide on June 15 every year to raise awareness about the abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older persons. On this occasion, teachers and students from Classes V to XII took an oath to respect, care for, and safeguard the rights and dignity of senior citizens. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the issues faced by the elderly and to instil values of compassion, empathy, and responsibility towards older members of society.
