To teach is to touch a life forever. As a follower of Jesus, The Divine Teacher, we firmly believe that true education is giving life to another. Through education we nurture in students convictions about the sacredness of life. The goal of education is to teach the students to live, to discover the deeper meaning of life, love the creation, think freely and find fulfillment in every endeavour. In a word "to learn to be". It is in and through education that one can hope to build a harmonious society for the future.
Anne Marie Javouhey our foundress was an innovator in the field of education of her times. She said "Love the children, bring them up well. They are our future".

Anne Marie Javouhey guided by the impulses...
Anne Marie Javouhey guided by the impulses of the Holy Spirit founded the Society of St. Joseph of Cluny on 12th May 1807, where she along with her three sisters and five others, made their profession in Chalon - sur - saone, and later established themselves in a house in Cluny (France). The Congregation from then on began to be called the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny.
Anne Marie Javouhey cared for the orphans, educated children, worked for the human development of all. She worked for the formation of the African Clergy and was the outstanding liberator of slaves.
In her own life time, her missionary activities were extended to the five continents. She was so recognized for her devotedness,
