MOTHER GENERAL VISIT

On 7th of October 2025 the school campus was filled with joy and anticipation to welcome Rev. Sr. Clare Stanley our Mother General from France. Sr. Clare, Sr. Lourdumary, Sr Leema and Sr. Reena were given a traditional warm welcome by performing the kumba aarti. The dignitaries were welcomed with a sandanam & kumkuma pottu. They were garlanded by Sr. Reena and Sr. Leema. The traditional folk dances of Tamil Nadu – Karagam, Mayillatam, Oyilattam, Kollatam, Poikkal Kuthirai and Kavadiattam welcomed Sr. Clare and Sr. Lourdumary as the jeep slowly moved forward. Std II, VI and VII students held balloons, pluck cards and stars to express their joy in welcoming the guests. The Cabinet welcomed mother by giving a general salute and the band girls led the dignitaries to the dais. At the main entrance of the school brooches were pinned by teachers for all the dignitaries. Students of Std V did the honour of being flower girls as the guests walk past the red carpet. This was followed by lighting of the lamp and prayer service. .Sisters, teachers and PTA members honoured Mother General and the Provincial superior. Our next segment included the releasing of the school magazine titled “Hope a spark in every Soul”. This was followed by a short cultural programme comprising Invocation dance, Welcome song, Action song and a Fusion Dance. The whole programme was not only a feast to the eyes but also informative. Having Sr. Clare was like, fulfilling Mother Anne Marie’s dream, the cultural fest was followed by the key note address of Sr. Clare. The Programme was ended with a vote of thanks by Sr. Reena in which sister thanked Sr. Clare Stanley, Sr. Lourdumary and the august gathering.
